Homework - General

*Please let your teacher know, on a Monday, if you had any problems with the homework. 

Arithmetic, Bar Model and Maths Retrieval Question  Homework Information:

Each week you will be set some arithmetic style questions to be completed in your homework book by the following Tuesday. The Bar model question will be loaded on to showbie with a video tutorial showing you how to solve the question.  You will also have a question linked to previously taught maths topics to complete.  

Reading Homework Information:

All children at HGJS are expected to read each day - you must record your reading in your Learning Journal. Every Tuesday you will be given a piece of reading fluency and comprehension questions linked to our module or class reader. 

Times Tables Rock Stars

Each week you will be completing regular times tables practice. It is important that you do this little and often. You will be set a certain number of levels to complete each week, which can be found in the maths homework section of your Learning Journal.

Homework - Current

 

You will find all homework tasks on showbie. They will need to be completed in your green book with a date and title. 

 

Maths homework is set on a Friday and is due in on Tuesday of the following week.

 

Reading homework is set on a Tuesday and is due in on Friday of the same week. 

 

Times Table Rock Stars - You must complete an activity on three separate days. 

 

 

Spelling - Children who have any spellings in their Learning Journals will also have a spelling task to complete. You must write the word out ten times and write a sentence which includes the word. This can be found in the back of your homework book.
